Comprehensive HealthWellness Education in Fort Bend ISD: Holistic Student Support

Fort B Indepent School District FBISD was established in 1959, with a commitment to inspire and equip students for futures beyond their imagination.

Our mission is to foster an educational environment that nurtures not only academic growth but also holistic development. We understand the importance of emotional wellbeing alongside academic progress and have dedicated resources towards Behavioral Health Wellness initiatives across our district.

We employ professional behavioral health specialists including social workers, mental health therapists, and other supportive staff who play pivotal roles in addressing diverse student needs. Our comprehensive approach to whole child health supports includes providing guidance on drug prevention, access to mental health services, school health management, recess guidelines, physical education programs, health education courses tlored for different grade levels, climate and environmental conditions policy, off-campus PE classes, preventive instruction, School Health Advisory Councils SHAC, Social-Emotional Learning SEL and Comprehensive Health Education programs.

Parents have access to a robust online platform where they can track their child's progress. They are also encouraged to stay informed about the latest policies through our communication channels.

For students, we ensure that safety measures like heat-related injury prevention, lightning protocols during thunderstorms, ozone alert notifications for r quality issues, and cold weather guidelines are in place. We also provide guidelines on what to wear when participating in outdoor activities throughout the year.

Fort B ISD is dedicated to ensuring every student receives a comprehensive education that nurtures their physical health, mental well-being, academic skills, social development, and personal growth within a safe environment.

We offer bus routes information for commuting students, school meal options, and policies to report concerns confidentially.
