The climate in Shangh, a major metropolis in East China, is characterized as subtropical and humid with abundant rnfall. The year-round weather can generally be described as mild yet wet due to its location at the estuary of the Yangtze River.
Spring Season
March through May marks the spring season when Shangh experiences pleasant, breezy days with an average temperature of 15.6°C 60°F. During this period, flowers and lush greenery bloom across the city, creating a colorful and lively atmosphere perfect for strolling around popular areas like Nanhui where you can enjoy peach blossoms.
Summer Season
June to September signals summer in Shangh with high temperatures and frequent rnfall. Traveling during these months could be challenging due to unpredictable weather conditions that bl intense heat with heavy downpours. August's late period through mid-September often sees a spike in typhoon activity, bringing thunderstorms.
The monsoon season, spanning around a month from May until early July, is known as plum rn, contributing 25 of the city's annual rnfall totals. This is also when the fruit plum matures and ripens, hence its name.
Autumn Season
As we move to October through November, autumn settles in Shangh, bringing cooler temperatures that are often considered pleasant for travel alongside spring. The season presents spectacular fall foliage scenes, especially around Nanjing Qixia Mountn and Suzhou's Tianping Hill.
Winter Season
December to early February marks winter in Shangh, with cold temperatures peaking during the Chinese Spring Festival at the of January or beginning of February. However, located in the southern region of China, Shangh mntns milder winters compared to its northern counterparts.
